#sexybooktoread "Contemporary Jewelry Design " cypi press

Soo I am a geek and I loooveee to read(wait, its sound like gaga ),for me a reader is sexy, soo I would start to write about all the design, business, and craft book that gives me inspiration.hope if you have a chance to read it you will feel the same!

Contemporary jewelry design is a new design book I borrow from Kuala lumpur Library, the second most stylish library in kuala lumpur after Matrade library. The book showcases over 40 designers from around the world, from established names in jewelry design to less-known rising stars, whose work embodies the diverse production techniques and design concepts that define modern jewelry. What interest me the most is how a jewellery can be made from various sources and the outcome was exquisite.among my favourite artist is hanna hedman a Swedish designers, sun jie with his big fish brooch and Yan Rui with her artwork The life Cycle Of Autumn Cicadas. With a lot of interesting  pictures,a view from desiners and the explanation about what kind of material used for every design make this book worth to read.my mark for this book is 7:10.its give me inspiration and bring me the new perspective to jewelry design.my favorite quote is:

“market identities and name branding possibly always existed in the art world.but were eschewed as toxic values which undermined the transcendent value of art.”jivanAstfalck, jewelry artist, educationist.

Helper for Hatta HIM 2016

Hatta Him kembali lagi setelah dua tahun, last time I helped as their crew member during my first year as Fashion student at KLMUC,in 2016 Hatta Dolmat make a come back for his male model search.the event held at menara TIMA or KLMUC and started at 8pm oNov 5 2016, even though I am a bit  busy with KLFW, I am able to volunteer for this event.

compare to 2014 model, this time the contestant is much more to runaway look, unlike 2014 when all the finalist are much more to commercials looks. if you remember the winner for last HattaHIM 2014, Aidid, recently he makes his debut in tv3 drama series.but ......I do like the 2016 finalist more because they are very down to earth and warm.they hug everyone to say thank you after the event, even someone who the task just cleaning the chair like me!

lama tak jumped junior2 KLMUC,they seems happy to be a volunteer for Hatta

I am very lucky to met Faizzariffin,he is a fitness model and very famous instagrammer, he come to support his little brother izaazariffin, one of the finalist in Hatta HIM 2016.

few hot spot at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2016 @ Matrade

Facit 2016 has back at matrade, for b2b in fashion it was among  must go annual event.but this year for me it was a bit pale, just like 2016 pantone colour Roze Quartz and serenity blue .the scale and backdrop is much smaller compare to last year. and then unlike last year I can't find any top designer.last year I am able to meet Melinda Looi,Joe Chia and few other Malaysian fashion royalty but not this time.well still it was amazing event and I heard one of Muslimah hijab boutique owners has succeeded to get a few MOU sign that worth for their business.so here are few hot spot I find interesting at FACIT 2016

1.Korean designer booth

every time I watch korean drama is not only the actor or actress that make me glued in front of television it also the fashion that the stylist makes them wear that interest me the most.In this pavilion, you can meet some of korean talented designer with their collection.from what I can say korean designer are quite experimental, fun, and daring.

 2.

2.Epson Malaysia Booth

this is my first time, to see how fabric printer looks like and how does it work, and the exhibitor there are very kind enough to entertain our question about the printer and even give us some free t-shirt made using Epson fabric printer.

3.Business and Profesional Woman Malaysia (BPW) booth third floor

this booth located at third floor are quite hidden from the rest but its worth to visit.BPW bring us few amazing woman entrepreneur with their wonderful product.

polymer clay and folk art from Y.F. Phang with the catchy  polymer accessories for woman like, rose brooch, necklace, and hijab pin that gonna make your eyes pop out,.

and the trio girls that come together for organic scrub and foot detox for your skin.i give it a shot and it was....marvelous!! thanks to madam Juliana Ramlee from lavenderfootdetox and miss syaza Ibrahim from vvhomemadescrubs.

4.P.Bee and Joanne the pet clothing designer

this one is the cutest booth in klfw 2016.you can't stop looking at all the small beautiful clothing and accessories  that they made,  at first glances, I almost thought it was for babies, but it turn out it was made for the pet.

5.ga-las

soo you are looking what is the next hot stuff in the fashion industry.Ga-las might be the answer.the material they used are not the ordinary material used in making woman  bag but it turns out to be very interesting.you know this bag remind me of crocs, hope its will be a triumph for them compare to the tragedy faced by the company that releases crocs.

6.No Monkey booth that gives free lips balm CiUM

people always miss the beauty and health hall when they visit KLFW.come on fashionista no matter how beautiful your dress are, without your good look it's not gonna fly,so go and visit this hall and don't forget to grab this amazing product for FREE!!!

7.UITM ceramic design faculty booth.

ever heard of Grayson Perry, I do not realize that UITM has diploma and degree in industrial ceramic, rantai seramik yang dibuat oleh artisan uitm benar2 menarik perhatian saya.it make me fall in love with ceramic art!!

8.few interesting designer booth to visit
-ruzz gahara
-tuhfah
-Alfian tailors
-E-Cheru
-Nawre
and etc..
this is the owner a.k.a designer of Alfian Rahmat and Son(tailors)saya cukup berkenan dgn sleeveless coat from him,on the third day when I ask about the coat, he said someone has bought it already!!!I ask him if this shop belongs to him and his father because the name on the card write Alfian Rahmat and son and he give me answer that make me stunned.he said this is his shop, Alfian Rahmat, and when he add 'and son' he was hoping that this business would be his legacy for his next generation!! what a beautiful answer right??he is a student in menswear tailoring at one of sewing school at Bukit Bintang, you should go to his instagram: alfiantailoring to see this talented designer.

klfw also showed me another side of business in fashion, about struggle and failure in business.when I saw my lecture sitting on the floor to prepare for his booth and collection and how  hard my senior  work to get everything come together, even though they are very talented designer, make me think for a while about what people said about how competitive this field.then I also heard about one senior in the industry that also learn fashion and used to have clothing business, have to close  the business because it brings no profit due to so much competition, now she changing her nature on business by selling very interesting handmade cotton doll.this is the story of never giving up,able to let go and adapt, and seeing fashion outside the box.

p/s: if you are wondering how come there is no picture about the fashion show at KLFW.since I am still nobody yet,so no one care to invite me.well, maybe soon I would be sitting in the front row for every fashion show, not only in Malaysia, ASEAN later maybe the world runaway....but is that really the fashion world that I wanted to be???

when I lost my Finance vogue!!

I believe as fashion student the knowledge you need about  what happen now in fashion is as important as you need to know what is happening now in finance and business. Just like you wore a handsome suit you are not gonna cheated the suit with  ugly shoes. The point is if you want to be dashing you need both.in Malaysia I m really thankful because there is lot of good fashion magazine for a guy like me to learn, like  Maskulin,Glamlelaki a very new magazine but with very perfect filling inside.ooh and even though I m a Malay I also like Chinese men magazine like men’s Uno i love how they play with picture placement inside the magazine and they feature more east designer that worth to look out.but.. when it come to learning about finance is quite hard to find a perfect magazine for newbie like me to learn more.

I do admit i LOVE MONEY!!who not, right but darling I have to admit the process of learning everything about finance is.......boring.dude, I am a fashion people, we love picture, but when you give me number is not something that turn me on. not long time ago there is one magazine in Malaysia that almost suit the characteristic its almost turn me on,its easy to read for non FINANCE people, its light, and its fun.its PERSONAL MONEY MAGAZINE! .you know how western fashionista  always call Vogue magazine is their bible, well for me PERSONAL MONEY MAGAZINE IS MY VOGUE in finance.

when I started to learn more about finance and have fun while learning it they STOP the magazine. I keep waiting and waiting, I am frustrated, the magazine are no more in any bookstore. And then I learn they replace my finance VOGUE with inset together with THE EDGE. its like you take my Regnum Lepideum and give me Fairuz Ramdan. There is nothing wrong with Fairuz he is fantastic, its just its too heavy for me. I am more too light person when it come to learning process and learning finance in THE EDGE  is too heavy for me and not to mention about the size is too big for me to hold.I much more prefer to read my favorite beautiful simply CJ in the magazine and got to read  the gorgeous editor note Elainee was something I wait every month.well they must stop it for some reason I guess.but still please bring back the old format of personal money magazine.

sometime being small doesnt means its make u weak!!

Ada masanya menjadi kecik tak bermaksud kita lemah, being  the underdog that doesn't means we gonna loose, instead it will make you much more brave and ingenious, this is  what can i learn on this short documentary made by my friend, the documentary about the owner of phone parts and accessories shop known as Kedai Ustaz. I have heard about it before on how the price it offers on items are much lower compared to other places.yet still I don’t have the opportunity to visit it until recently when it have open one more branch at Busana Mara just next to KLMU so since I need new ear plug I wait no more. And indeed satisfactory is mine.the price is very cheap that Instead buying only one, I end up buy two of it.(the other one is for my sunbae that coincidently there and also looking for the same thing, well it always a good thing to be nice to your senior.right?..

I love the parts where the owner highlight, it is better to growth your company without doing any loan.indeed some time without big capital the growth might not be too fast or significant but to be slow, steady and sustainable was one of the best ways to be in business right?? Thanks to Mr Hafiz a media student from #KLMUC to bring us simple yet very enlighten documentary!!

btw:I just finish my dip in Fashion at  KLMUC gonna share about the experience study there later!!
