dian pelangi a very well known figure as prominent fashion designer and blogger.recently been add as BOF 500 has put her name as one of the most significant young fashionista in southeast asian.her book gaya hijab metropolitan are among the new fashion book in my collection,since i am on new project called simple white blouse i think the book is a good refrences since i am going to learn to make collection for muslimah.the book contain pic of street style woman from Indonesia,Malaysia,Thailand and brunei.somehow i feel it was very interesting to see Indonesian woman style because compare to what we see on sinetron play by our tv this book show side of more chic yet elegant style of Indonesian muslimah .yet just like she said in introduction that this book contain most pic than writing from heself. i think that is quite sad.because as one of most influential muslimah designer i believe lot of people would love to hear some of her own view in fashion.so perhaps it was not a book you must have, but to buy one is not a total loss for me.i have to admit enjoy looking and learning our muslimah in southeast asian street style.
